Challenge
Wijnegem - Shop Eat Enjoy has long been a hub of activity, offering a diverse array of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Despite steady growth on social media, the momentum began to plateau, leading the mall’s management to seek new ways to reinvigorate their online presence and, more importantly, drive foot traffic to the mall. In 2021, Wijnegem approached WE LIKE YOU to conduct an audit of their social media channels and develop a fresh strategy to sustain growth and engage more visitors.
Audience
Wijnegem caters to a broad audience, from families looking for a full day out to fashion-forward individuals and food enthusiasts. Our primary objective was to reach potential visitors in a prospecting phase, boost brand recognition, and encourage concrete actions - whether it be clicking through to the website, RSVPing to Facebook events, or planning a visit to the mall.
Approach
After a thorough audit, we developed a flexible and engaging social media strategy, creating monthly content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. We designed the strategy to accommodate quick updates in line with their frequent events and promotions. To keep content fresh, our social media manager visits the mall bi-weekly for real-time photos and videos, complemented by two major photoshoots annually. We also leveraged influencer marketing to expand our reach, particularly among younger audiences unfamiliar with the mall.
Also, we are developing a brand new paid advertising strategy to boost the content in an efficient manner to show our content to the right audience at the right time.
Result
Working closely with Wijnegem's team we are preforming very will in the always-on approach. We are actively making new content which fit in the newest Instagram/TikTok trends for all new stores, seasonal activitities, events etc. This translates in great results with a lot of visibility for Wijnegem.
